Local SEO and Google profile for a pet grooming business
The map pack books more grooms than your website does. Someone types dog groomer near me, taps one of three listings, and calls. That decision takes about four seconds and gets made on category, review count, photos and hours.
Category is where most shops leave money. Pet groomer is the primary listing for nearly every business in the data, so it separates nobody. Secondary categories for dog day care, pet boarding or cat grooming pull queries your neighbours are not answering. The services section should name every size band and add-on with a price, because Google shows that panel before anyone clicks through.
Hours are the quiet leak in this trade. Only 50.4% of grooming listings show Saturday hours and 18.3% show Sunday, which is exactly when people are free to drive a dog somewhere. Another 34.2% list no hours at all.
Two weeks in, working looks like more calls and direction requests in profile insights, photos dated this month rather than the year you opened, and a services list that answers the price question before it turns into a phone call.
