Google Ads management for a pet grooming business
Grooming is the hardest local trade to buy clicks for, and the reason is the ticket. A full groom is $60 to $110. If a booked new client costs you $80, you are underwater until her third or fourth visit, so the campaign only works when the rebooking process behind it works.
What we buy is narrow. Search only, exact and phrase, inside a real drive radius: fifteen minutes for a salon, whatever route density a van can hold without an hour of dead driving. Breed and coat terms carry the account. Doodle groomer, poodle grooming, cat grooming, de-shedding, nail trim. Those searchers have a specific coat problem and are not shopping on price. Clicks run $2 to $6 and a booked new client usually lands between $35 and $90.
The mistake almost every owner makes is leaving the campaign on when the book is full. Grooming is one of the few trades that should deliberately pause. Set the daily budget to open capacity, not to a number you read somewhere.
Two weeks in, working looks like a clean search terms report, calls tagged by breed, and a budget matched to the chairs you actually have. The Google Ads guide has the full negative list.
