Email and SMS campaigns for a pet grooming business
The most valuable list in a grooming business is already sitting in your booking software and almost nobody mails it. Every dog has a coat cycle, which means every client has a date when she is overdue, and overdue is the only trigger you need.
The core campaign is the cadence reminder. Bailey was last in on the fourth and she is on an eight week coat, so a text goes at week seven offering the same slot. That one automation lifts rebooking further than any promotion, and it costs nothing to run.
Around it, reminders and four seasonal sends do the rest. A confirm-by-reply text at 48 hours and again the morning of cuts no-shows sharply, and a three hour Saturday hole is the one you can never refill. October carries the holiday cutoff dates, February the de-shed push, May the summer trim, and a July text fills the quiet week. Volume matters less than timing. One well aimed message a month is plenty; more than that and grooming clients start opting out.
Two weeks in, working looks like lapsed clients rebooking without a phone call.
